Each lamp is made one-at-a-time on the potter’s wheel and hand-stamped with a flathead screwdriver. After drying, the base is fired in an electric kiln, glazed in custom-mixed material and fired once more — this time at a higher temperature in a gas reduction kiln. Heavy cast brass hardware and a cloth-covered power cord are added to the base. Finally, a rolled-edge linen shade finishes the lamp.
