Urchin vase in Eggshell glaze. This piece was made during an artist-in-residency at Nick’s Cove in Tomales Bay, California. As a response to the areas’s tidal marsh setting, I added shapes and scraps of clay to an urchin shape in way that recalls barnacles and mollusks.
